Bu çalışmanın amacı, lisansüstü tezler perspektifinden sağlık sosyolojisi alt disiplininin diğer disiplinler arasındaki yerinin incelenmesi ve ilişkili olduğu alanların tespit edilmesidir. Nitel araştırma yöntemi tercih edilen ve betimsel araştırma olarak tasarlanan çalışmada doküman incelemesi tekniğinden faydalanılmıştır. Bu kapsamda 1993-2020 yılları arasında sağlık sosyolojisi üzerine yazılan tezlerin program türü, üniversitesi, yılı, danışmanı, çalışma alanı ve yer aldığı disipline göre dağılımı incelenmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Yüksek Öğretim Kurumu Ulusal Tez Merkezi web sitesi veri tabanı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında toplamda 567 teze ulaşılmış olup sağlık sosyolojisi alanı dışında yer alan çalışmaların elenmesiyle 207 tez belirlenen değişkenlere göre bibliyometrik analize tâbi tutulmuştur. Yapılan analizler sonucunda özellikle 2002 yılından itibaren sağlık sosyolojisi alanında yazılan tezlerde artış olduğu ve en fazla tezin 2019 yılında yazıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Sağlık sosyolojisi alanında yazılan tezlerin sosyoloji alanında yoğunlaştığı ve takiben sağlık kurumları yönetimi, psikoloji, sosyal hizmetler, iletişim bilimleri ve halk sağlığı alanlarında yer aldığı saptanmıştır. Tezlerin ağırlıklı olarak hastalık, hastalık davranışı ve hastalık deneyimi gibi konular üzerine yoğunlaştığı görülmüştür. Sonuç olarak sağlık sosyolojisi alanının; sosyoloji, tıp, yönetim, siyaset ve ekonomi disiplinlerinin çatısı altında bulunan multidisipliner bir alan olduğu söylenilebilir.

The aim of this study is to examine the place of health sociology sub-discipline among other disciplines from the perspective of graduate theses and to determine the related fields. In the study, in which qualitative research method was preferred and which was designed as a descriptive research, document analysis technique was used. In this context, the distribution of theses written on health sociology between 1993 and 2020 by program type, university, year, supervisor, field of study and discipline was examined. The database of the National Thesis Center of Higher Education Institution was used as a data collection tool in the study. Within the scope of the research, 567 theses were reached in total, and 207 theses were subjected to bibliometric analysis according to the determined variables after the studies outside the field of health sociology were eliminated. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that there has been an increase in the theses written in the field of health sociology especially since 2002, and the most theses were written in 2019. It has been determined  that the theses written in the field of health sociology focus on the field of sociology and subsequently take place in the fields of health institution management, psychology, social services, communication sciences and public health. It has been observed  that the theses mainly focus on subjects such as illness, illness behavior and illness experience. As a result, it can be said that the field of health sociology is a multidisciplinary field under the umbrella of sociology, medicine, management, politics and economics.
